Well, my uncle died today, while we were eating Thanksgiving dinner. His health had been fading for some time and he slipped into a coma yesterday. He was a veteran of WWII and a devout Christian. I hope he is in Heaven now, whatever that may have meant to him. Outside of a holiday or birthday, I can't think of a better day to go out on.

Rook had an accident today. He cut his foot open on a piece of glass, severed three tendons and lacerated a vein. They had to sew him back up today and he had to spend the night at the vet. When I went to visit after his surgery, he had just woke up from it and was delirious from the anesthesia. His head was wobbling around and he didn't have his bearing, and when he smelled and heard me (he couldn't really see), he started getting frantic to get up and come with us and started hitting his head on the wall of the cage. I was afraid that he might hurt himself, so we had to leave. He's always been so full of life, it was hard to see him like that. =/

Last night was good. Erik and I had an internet conference concerning a book we're writing for a roleplaying game. All of our ideas and work thus far were praised, and we were told to keep it up. The lead game design - who has seen alot of this sort of work - really liked what we're doing. Which is an awesome compliment.

Writing career seems to be taking off just fine. I'm pretty excited. Even Erik didn't have anything negative to say. =P

So, I'm sure any guy can relate to this.

You know how sometimes you might read the words on a girl's shirt, which are incidentally placed over her breasts? During the reading you realise that you appear to be staring at her breasts - the fact that girls know where the words are and understand is irrelevent. Unless your brain doesn't operate as per what is socially acceptable, this provokes an awkward feeling somewhere in the deep recesses of your mind. Maybe I am way off here, but this happens to me. Alot.

This happened to me today. The only remarkable difference between today's encounter with the words/breasts equation and any other encounter, is that today it happened while I was reading a guy's shirt.

Shouldn't some alarm go off in your head when you look down at your chest and realise that your tits are now competing with those of actual females?

It just recently sank in that I am a published writer now. This adds validity to my proposed career as a writer. It feels great, though there is much work yet to be done.

In other news, I am back in school. I even have a good schedule. It feels wierd after being out of school for so long, but it's pretty invigorating. I'd be a bit irritated with myself for being out of school for so long if I hadn't joined the army. Next semester evil_mayonaise will be joining me.

A pretty good week I'd say.
